System

The System page provides system-level maintenance and security functions for the ZiggyMeter device, such as firmware management and device resets.

Software version

The section shows the current Firmware version of the ZiggyMeter. See Versioning schema

Use this information to verify that the device runs the expected release before applying updates or requesting support.

Firmware upgrade

• Use CHECK FOR UPDATES to query for a newer firmware version available for your device.
• To install a new firmware, use either UPGRADE FROM WEB (download directly from the internet) or UPGRADE FROM FILE (upload a local firmware file), following any on-screen confirmation prompts.

TIP

When checking for firmware updates, only your browser needs internet access; ZiggyMeter itself does not need to connect to the internet.

Changing admin password

• Enter the current administrator password in Current Password, then type the new password in New Password and repeat it in Confirm New Password.
• Select CHANGE PASSWORD to apply the new credentials.

Device reset options

• Select REBOOT to restart the device without erasing configuration; use this when the system becomes unresponsive or after firmware updates if instructed.
• Select FACTORY RESET to restore default settings, which typically clears custom configuration and may require re‑setup of WiFi, Zigbee, and integrations; use this option with caution.
