ZiggyMeter carries the CE marking, declaring conformity with the applicable European Union directives listed below.

What the markings mean

CE

The CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets the essential requirements of every EU directive that applies to it. For a 2.4 GHz radio device that is principally the Radio Equipment Directive, which folds in the requirements previously covered by the EMC and Low Voltage directives.

WEEE

WEEE symbol

The crossed-out wheeled bin means the device must not be discarded with household waste. At the end of its life, take it to a collection point for electrical and electronic equipment recycling, or return it to the retailer.

Batteries are a separate waste stream: remove them before disposal and take them to a battery collection point.

Radio parameters

Both radios operate in the licence-exempt 2.4 GHz ISM band under the Radio Equipment Directive.

INFO

The antenna is detachable. Replacing it with a higher-gain antenna can take the radiated power above the limit permitted in your country. Use an antenna of equivalent gain unless you have confirmed compliance yourself. See Antenna and signal.

Manufacturing and firmware origin

Firmware development and initial production programming are carried out within the European Union. Firmware images are encrypted and digitally signed; see Security.
