  • SSID: Name of the Wi‑Fi network the device is currently connected to.
  • Mode: Indicates client/station mode or other supported Wi‑Fi modes.

WiFi new connection

List available networks

  • Nearby Wi‑Fi networks (SSIDs) are discovered automatically.
  • The list refreshes automatically every few seconds.
  • Each entry includes signal strength and security.

Connect

  • Select the SSID you want to join.
  • Enter the Wi‑Fi password (if required) and click Connect.
  • After a successful connection, ZiggyMeter operates as a Wi‑Fi client (station) on your home/office network.
  • The web interface is then reachable at the device IP address/hostname assigned by your router.

WARNING

When you connect to a new Wi‑Fi network, the device will be disconnected from your current connection. That means you will no longer be able to access the web interface until you reconnect to the new network.

Access Point

You can configure ZiggyMeter to act as a WiFi Access Point (Hotspot). This is useful for initial setup or when no external WiFi network is available.

WiFi AP

  • Enable Access Point Mode: Select to enable the hotspot. Note: Enabling AP mode will disconnect the device from any currently connected Wi‑Fi network.
  • Change Password: Check this option to set a custom password for the ZiggyMeter hotspot (minimum 8 characters).
  • Change Network Name: Check this option to set a custom SSID (Network Name) for the hotspot.
  • UPDATE: Saves changes and applies the new Access Point settings. The device may restart its network interface.

INFO

In AP mode, the device always have 192.168.4.1 address.
