Home Assistant

The Home Assistant page allows you to configure a direct connection between ZiggyMeter and Home Assistant instance over Wi‑Fi. This integration uses the Home Assistant REST API to push sensor updates directly.

It won't work over Zigbee but you can integrate ZiggyMeter with Home Assistant over Zigbee (see Zigbee Configuration).

Configuration

To set up the connection, you need to provide your Home Assistant server details and a valid access token.

  • Enable Home Assistant: Select ENABLED to turn on the direct integration.
  • Home Assistant URL: Enter the full URL of your Home Assistant instance (e.g., http://192.168.1.10:8123 or https://my-ha.duckdns.org). http and https are supported.
  • Long-lived Access Token: Paste a Long-Lived Access Token here. You can generate this token in your Home Assistant profile under the Security tab.
  • Import Certificate: This is required for https connections; if not provided, the connection will fail. The certificate is used to verify the Home Assistant server certificates.

Actions

  • TEST CONNECTION: Click to verify that ZiggyMeter can reach your Home Assistant instance and authenticate successfully with the provided token.
  • UPDATE: Saves the configuration and applies changes.
