Configuration

This section describes the recommended order of configuration. Following these steps makes it easier to verify each part of the setup before moving on.

Recommended setup order

Set up the connection (WiFi)

Start by configuring WiFi. A stable network connection makes troubleshooting much easier and allows you to access the web interface during setup.

Check the connection with the meter

After WiFi is working, verify that ZiggyMeter can communicate with your electric meter.

At this stage, focus on the basics:

• ZiggyMeter is physically aligned with the meter’s optical interface
• A reading can be performed and data is visible in the web interface

If the meter connection does not work, fix this before changing any advanced settings.
